Each week from Saturday, ESF displays a varied programme at our desk.

To give you a taste of what we do depending on snow cover and weather conditions:

Snowshoes outings with ESF Valloire are a way to see real nature, far from the slopes, far from the noise and far from the crowds. It is the white desert where you can observe chamois, deers, stags and wolves..., get to know the local history, gliding, friendliness, physical effort, joyous atmosphere, other people... revitalise yourself, evade from daily life... in short, a whole programme!
" The fantastic descent : wonderful panoramic hike on a very snowy crest with views on Valloire, Valmeinier, Vanoise National Park, le Perron des Encombres mountain and Aiguilles d'Arves. We start with a ride on board the Brive telecabin and return to the village du Col. 125m ascension, 700m descent. Ski pass or pedestrian pass required.
"Altitude Trek", once a week, top of the hikes: we climb on board a ski lift to reach Crey du Quart crest and start walking with fantastic views (Ecrins National Park, Vanoise National Park, Thabor, Aiguilles d'Arves, la Meije...). We close off the hike with a huge descent in a snowy field. Please be sure to have a ski pass (day or week pass).

14 people maximum per group.
Our partner TSL provides snowshoes.
Please provide good walking shoes (no moon boots allowed!), water, snack and sunscreen.
Transport from ESF desks at Centre Station to starting point of walk (within the limits of available places).

Anyone with heart conditions, breathing difficulties and/or with a contraindication to practise sports is asked to think twice before enrolling and to come with a medical certificate attesting they can hike in the mountains by foot or with snowshoes. Pregnant women should get informed on the practicability of the hike.
